ERCO Ercoupe
The Ercoupe debuted in 1937 as an easy to fly plane. To achieve that goal it was fitted with tricycle gear and interconnected rudder/ailerons which required no rudder pedals.
WWII halted production of the Ercoupe, but it was resumed after the war as aircraft manufacturers imagined a huge boon for post war general aviation. ERCO stopped production which was later picked up by others including Aeronica, Sanders, Forney, Elon, Mooney, and Univair, the current holder of the type certificate.
