Dangerously Accessible... Security Concerns
Hi,
Thanks for getting this off the ground (all puns intended). The fact that there is almost no content to start with at launch time is going to make it difficult to build the momentum of a popular Wiki among pilots and aircraft enthusiasts, so beefing it up with a few more entries could really help.
The major problem I can see immediately is that it is extremely easy to get on this site and vandalise its contents. I was able to create an account without confirmation by e-mail and I was able to delete an entry someone had created. Mind you, they had done so to spam the site: They created an aircraft name with jibberish as the name and they inserted some spam link in the description.
I recommend that you increase security immediately to avoid letting idiots and all sorts of wrongdoers get a hold of the site and turn it into a mess. There should also be some minimum content standards so that the Wiki has at least some consistency across all entries, for example some of the speeds, or at least one photo, etc.
All the best. Cheers,
Roger (Flyboy)
